Les Parisiennes are indestructible

Parisian chic doesn’t discriminate. It’s for all women. From all walks of life.

Wilson Trollope’s spring/summer 2018 collection, Les Parisennes, celebrates the women of Paris during and immediately after the Second World War. During the Occupation of Paris, “Les Parisiennes”, kept Paris going. They made choices in a brutal environment of constant moral ambiguity. They retained and used their innate sense of fashion to sustain their own well-being and to defy the occupiers in small ways. They were supremely resilient.

Despite the harsh times these women were resourceful in retaining their Parisian chic.  “Les Parisiennes” took control. They developed more comfortable and practical day-to-day clothing for their changing and diverse lifestyles. Comfort without corsets, shortened knee-length skirts and borrowing from their husband’s wardrobes.

Les Parisiennes reflects the history and the women’s underlying strength of being true to oneself.

Soft muted summer colours come together with florals, satin and lace to form a comfortable and glamourous collection for the summer months. Traits of the crisp tailored military uniforms flow throughout the collection. Slim silhouettes and careful shaping highlight the female figure and come to life through soft silks, cottons and linens.

Parisian chic doesn’t discriminate. It’s for all women. From all walks of life.
